Wooden stands are made of good quality wood such as cypress. They are classy devices and will add a touch of elegance to your patio or yard or where ever you want to set it up. They are long lasting if you give it the proper care they need to maintain them.

You must make sure that you clean the wooden stand periodically. If you tend to use it mostly out doors, you must weather-proof the wood giving it the appropriate chemical treatment.

The advantage with wooden stands is that you can use either the simple kind or the ones which have spreader bars at each end. Who does not like to spend a relaxing hour or two rocking in a hammock, snoozing, reading, listening to music or just having a cozy chat with a friend?

If you like to swing in your hammock, the hammock swing stand is the one for you. These are very much like the hammock stands described above, the only difference being that they allow you to swing gently.
